Summer Camp Registration is Open!

Registration for JMU Outreach & Engagement summer youth programs is open! This year, we have six learning opportunities for children in grades 1-12.  For more information and to register, please click the name of each camp.

Summer Honors Institute 

The JMU Summer Honors Institute is a unique week-long program where talented rising high school juniors and seniors get a first-hand look at life in a dynamic university and its Honors college.

June 18 - 24, 2017

Robotics Camp

This exciting camp is a challenging program designed for middle school students who want to push robots to the limits with two JMU Physics professors.

June 19 - 23, 2017

Space Explorers Camp

Using JMU’s unique facilities such as the John C. Wells Planetarium and Science on a Sphere- camp-goers will get a perspective of Earth and other planets like an astronaut would. We seek to inspire and excite the next generation of scientists and engineers. 

Full Day

Rising 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students

Fencing Camp

JMU Fencing Camps provide instruction in footwork, techniques, strategies, and safety used in Olympic style fencing for rising 5th - 10th graders at the beginning through advanced level.
